Serge Larouche was born in Gatineau, (Quebec) Canada. His father is a professional guitarist who plays almost full time at the casino in Hull. He's also a good business man. Serge has a brother and a sister who are both younger than he. His brother Michel who is also a very good musician, was a part of the band Zone with Serge and Annie. His parents live in Gatineau with his sister France.

He was introduced to music at a young age, initially as a guitarist. He was not more than 3 years old when he started to play the guitar. Encouraged and supported he was ready to follow in his father's footsteps. Since his brother was also a guitarist, he changed his guitar for an electric bass at the age of 17. He studied for many years with a private teacher.

From 1992 to 1994, he was the bassist for the groupe Intersection in Outaouais. He was also a member of the band Funny Bones, with whom he recorded his first album, Pepper, in 1995.

In 1994, he played at Parliment Hill in Ottawa for Canada Day, the opening show for Roch Voisine and France D'Amour. He shared the stage with Annie in front of a crowd of 70 000. He played in other bands before the formation of Addicted Bones. Meanwhile, he was part of a band called "Zone" with Annie.

In 1998, he moved to Montreal to be with his brother who was already there studying. At the begining of 2000 he met up with Annie again, who was preparing for her European Tour.

In 2001, when Annie returned from her tour, he joined Addicted Bones and started to prepare for the recording of the album. From June to July 2002, he recorded the promotional album Fearless at Victor Studio with sound engineer, Daniel Ste-Marie.

He has supported her throughout their friendship, but first he's a passionate musician who loves to perform on stage. He loves the contact of the public which according to him, is a moment very powerful and ephemeral.
