David Pichette was born in Ste-Julie, (Quebec) Canada. He lived there with his family until 1982 when they moved to Orleans near Ottawa. He was 5 years old. David is the older of two children. He has a sister named Lise-Anne. That same year, he started the violin lessons with a private teacher. His dedication to studying music expanded 15 years. He did all of his academic studies in the Ottawa area, graduating in 1996. After that, he decided to pursue his musical career instead of going to university.

From 1996 to 2000, David played with the band, Deux Saisons. He also performed in Europe and Canada with a lot of bands. During this time, he recorded the album Entre le Solstice et l'Équinoxe under an independent label and the album, Deux Saisons under the Tomo Disc label. He also performed in several festivals with artists like Jean-Pierre Ferland, Zachary Richard, Angèle Arsenault, La Vesse du Loup, Crystal Plamondon, Nancy Deneault and En Bref.

In 2000, he took part in the Canadian Forces show tour for Canadian military bases in Bosnia and the Canadian Arctic. He played in 5 camps in Bosnia: Velika Kladusa, Coralici, Zgon, Drvar and Temislavgrad. He also played in Goose Bay, Labrador and in Alert, North Pole. The singer, Annie Saumur, was also on the tour. It's during this tour where they met each other.

In 2001, he began a series of concerts in France and Germany with the band Châkidor. After the tour, he started a new collaboration with the singer songwriter Yanik Pépin in the duo Yan-Dave.

The year 2002 began with a tour in Germany featuring, the German singer Jurgen Biniash and a series of concerts in the Middle-East with the Canadian Armed Forces. In June, he returned to record a promotional album with Addicted Bones at Victor Studio. Once recording was completed, he returned on tour in Germany and France with the group Châkidor and Jurgen Biniash.

Since June 2003, he has been traveling back and forth between Canada and the United States with the popular band Emerson Drive.

David is an extremely talented musician, with an incredible energy and a passion without limit for his art. He's also very generous and available despite his busy schedule. He is, according to Annie, the spirit of her Irish melodies.
